Environmental Claims Validation

Reduce Greenwashing

Consumers have become increasingly concerned about the environmental impact of the products they buy. For manufacturers and retailers, offering products with less environmental impact has become not just a competitive advantage, but a competitive necessity.

To meet consumer demand for more environmentally responsible products, industry and advertisers are now including environmental claims on packaging and in their advertising, often using descriptions such as "green", "clean" or "environmentally friendly". Unfortunately, not all environmental claims and descriptions are accurate or complete enough to be meaningful, a phenomenon called “greenwashing”.

Concern over the credibility and transparency of environmental product claims has been expressed by retailers, consumers and regulators. OnSpeX offers several tools and services that can be used to help ensure and validate the accuracy of these claims.
