CSA International has a long history of testing and certifying products for North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The Energy Star label indicates that a product meets a premium level of energy efficiency, making it easy for consumers to choose the most energy-efficient products sold in the Canadian and American marketplaces. CSA International presently offers Energy Star testing for various lighting equipment and products in accordance with Energy Star requirements. |

CSA International has been qualified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) to evaluate various plumbing products, including kitchen and lavatory faucets, shower heads, urinals and water closets, to verify compliance with water efficiency requirements. |
Energy Efficiency![]() |
For products destined for the Canadian market, CSA International offers the Energy Efficiency Verification (EEV) label which is recognized by governments across Canada. Product categories tested and certified to energy efficiency requirements include lighting, household appliances, water heaters, heating and air-conditioning equipment and other energy-using products. |

CSA International's Forest Products label indicates that a forest product (or a percentage of the product or product line) meets the requirements of the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC) chain-of-custody standard and Canada's National Standard for Sustainable Forest Management (CAN/CSA Z809), providing a competitive edge in the marketplace. |
